Malou was a widow and a single mother of four. While they were being raised by her parents in The Philippines, she was making the big bucks as a private chef in Rome, Italy.
His Story...
Ten years after being disabled by a brain tumor, Matt was still rebuilding his life after multiple traumas and tragedies. He really needed a friend to talk to and share his life.
Their Story...
Our heroes met on Facebook of all places! He flew to Rome to meet her. He flew to Manila to meet the family. They both flew to Manila and were married in 2019.
And then there was the pandemic.
Malou received her VISA in 2022. Maid in Newport was founded that same year. The first year was only one client. This year business has exploded. We hope to be hiring very soon!
Their Future...
Malou’s two youngest are twins (one boy and one girl). They will be 14 this fall. The VISA paperwork is complete, and we can’t wait to be a complete family here in Newport, Oregon!
We have plans to get the other children (now adults), but that will take time.
